Marcum Named Heart Football Offensive Player of the Week

Culver-Stockton College quarterback Korbin Marcum has been named both the Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his play in the Wildcats' 34-17 victory over Evangel University Saturday at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

Marcum, a senior from Reno, Nev. (Spanish Springs HS), threw four touchdown passes in the game, becoming the school's all-time leader in that category. Marcum currently has 56 touchdown passes in his career, surpassing former Wildcat Jon Enrico who recorded 54 career touchdown passes from 1984-87.

In addition, Marcum completed 25 passes on 46 attempts for 257 yards. His touchdown passes measured six, 12, 15, and 30 yards in distance. Three of his four scores went to junior receiver Connor Perrine. The other was caught by Mateen Johnson.

The Wildcats (1-0) will play at Benedictine College this Saturday, Sept. 26, in Atchison, Kan. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
